Hey everyone! I’m just wondering what your opinions are on using a uv sterilizer in your aquarium.
move had amazing results but, I wonder the negative effect it may have on the tank and coral specifically.

thanks all!

results below.
#1. day one. Very very cloudy and glass being cleaned several times a day.
#2. Day three. Speaks got its self.

Have the same one on my waterbox 110.5. Will never run it without it. I use it for algae. It helped with dinos and I hardly have to clean my glass also a plus is the clear water

Not really an emergency.

UV sterilizers kill off stuff in the water column. Some of that stuff is beneficial. You'll probably have a decrease in copepods, since all the phyto will have died. It shouldn't directly harm the corals, since the sterilizer should be isolated in such a way that it doesn't shine on anything except an isolated portion of water.
