Green Mandarin Goby Feeding

I recently bought a Green Mandarin Goby and I could really use some help figuring out how to feed it I've tried a few things like unplugging my pumps but nothing haha worked.

They need copepods and getting them onto frozen can be a challenge.

Buy fish roe...try the expensive LRS eggs and fresh roe from an Asian supermarket if you can get it. Live white and black worms are another good choice.

Expect to feed it several times a day if you don't have many pods.

I leave my pumps off for at least an hour. They are slow eaters with a short digestive tract so they need to eat often.

Keeping mandarins without tons of pods can be a chore and potentially increase nutrients.

Some people buy pods monthly for them so these fish can end up being pretty expensive for some.

You can order pods online and have them delivered. Algaebarn has a sale right now.

There are other places to get them online too.

Most don't eat prepared foods.

They eat copepods off the rock and sand, and they eat them constantly. That's why a mature tank with lots of rock and preferably a refuge in the sump is recommended.

My mandarin is so big and fat, he might explode soon :D
He does eat all the pods I have but he’s learned to eat leftover white fish, mysis and anything else he can find on the bottom...
If it moves, he won’t even pay attention to ito_O
