Green montipora looking real bleached

I think its dying its very pale in color , i got it a week ago and got the halide lighting 3 days ago .. Before that i had my 4 t5's and i knew it wasn't enough.. So i got the halide and hopefully it turns around. Let me know what u guys think

Monti's typically brown out when they don't get enough light and can bleach out when lighting is too bright, especially when there is a radical change in par. How long are you running the MH's? You may want to move it to a bit more shaded area to give it time to adjust.

I've only had the mh for 3 days ... It started to bleach out from the edges in the days before i got the mh ... When it was under only 4 t5's. I figured because of light deficiency . So i got the MH and it seems to be even worse... I have it about 15 inches away from the mh and i have the flow just off the top of the monti cuz i havent glued it and if flow is direct it will fall down

Ive actually had this to happen to my monti's also. Check your ph also cause ive seen the just fade away almost to pure white when ph has been to low. I have my montis under t5's and they do great especially with some medium flow. Since you have mh now id probably hide it down low for a week or 2 until it starts to get its color back and then gradually work it back to where you want it.

Do you actually see skin? Or polyp's ?

Some times it looks like theres life but any cap ive had that looked like what you got were dead.... Just sayin

Btw 4 bulbs located higher in the tank is enuf light. Trust me i had a huge colony. Really messed with my flow!
