Hello all I have a pretty decent colony of green pavana. It is about 5 by 5 in and I grew it from a tiny chip I got about 3 years ago. I got the chip for free from my brother and now I'm at the point where I need to make room in my tank for other corals. I was wondering what do you guys think I could appropriately ask for pricing in selling it in the local area where I live? I have attached a recent picture of the colony also.

Frags of around 1" currently sell from $25 to $50. Instead of trying to get an LFS to buy the colony, you're probably better off posting frags in the local reefing group on Facebook and selling them directly.

That's what I am doing, but I just didnt know what to tell people on my local Facebook group.

Bought my ORA mint chip pavona a couple years ago at Reefapalooza. The frag/small colony was about the size of a baby fist. Think I payed like $50.

In contrast I bought an entire colony(softball sized) of hairy pavona at my LFS for $80.

It is just going to depend on your local market and how saturated it is with that coral for people wanting to keep it. I would imagine that coral would not have any value in my area, but it would in others. Colorado Sunburst Nems don't bring much here in Colorado since there are so many, but I can get a lot if I ship them... local markets are all different.

You can nearly always get more for frags than a whole colony if you are willing to have more people over and deal with the extra work.
