Green slimer dead at base

I've got a green slimer frag that's died at the base for some reason. Should I cut the dead part off and remount it?

Maybe its my pc, but the same thing.

File name is: 20180209_153003.jpg. That is all I can see.

Thanks, the picture isn't great. The bottom 1/2" is black.

Yes, the rest of it seems very healthy. It's got great color. Much better than the picture shows. It's really weird.

Perhaps you should not cut it and instead dip the coral? Maybe try to feed it?

I broadcast reef chili and also add acro power regularly. I guess I could try Target feeding. I'll inspect more but I haven't seen any parasites. I could remove and do a revive dip I suppose.
