Green Slimer frag recently acquired and noticing the main tip is turning white. Just moved up to half tank height from sand bed (after 5 days) and am wondering if potentially from too much light or is it normal growth. No polyp extension during day (haven’t looked at night). Somewhat new to acros but have a purple stag that’s been doing well for a few months at a higher position.

Lights - 2 ai primes at brs spectrum, maybe 50% power
Alk - 8.7 steady
Calc - 440
Nitrate - around 2
Phos - .05

Think I should move back down to sand bed? Appreciate your opinions, thanks!

Appreciate the responses, thank you. The pale color on the tip seems to have moved down a bit more today. Hard to tell from the photos but will post anyway. Still seem like growth? I was also thinking it didn’t Koon like a Slimer based on internet photos but that’s what the LFS stated. Any ideas what it is, some stag?

Interesting! So I guess the tip gets some coloration other than the base color? Still a bit suprised was all green when I got it, photo below.

I wouldnt say paletta pink tip. Think it's just a green acro.
And definitly growth look at the 2 pics you posted. The tip looks elongated by the first coralite to the left.

Thanks for the opinions. Agree it does look like a frogspawn now. Gonna move it back to the sand bed as it’s looking more bleached at the tip than my camera is depicting I think. Dang LEDs I’m guessing.
