Green slimer needs help

I was at a LFS and saw where it said green slimer well it was brown so I said something to them and they were just going to throw it away my sps have always done well just wanted to know if there is anything I could do that my help it since anding it to my reef there has been some improvements

If you took it home, and clipped healthy tissue, just make sure you dip it in an antiseptic/oxydizer/coraldip to get any residual bacteria off "just incase" other then that. If your sps are doing fine why not!
 
I did dip with coral dip should I even cut away where it's dead at base there are a few peices of it I just stuck in holes the dead bases made it easy
Should I just cut every white part off and glue to plugs
