Green slimer turning white

My green slimer has been doing well. Full poylps and growing. I came home from work and it it turning white. My all is at 8.6. Two days ago it was at 8.7. what is killing it.

What test kit are you using to measure your alkalinity? What are your other water parameters as well as what lighting do you have it under?

Alk is Hanna tester. I need to test po4 and no3. I will do that this afternoon. I have 8 bulb 80 watt t5 lights. 1.026 salinity. Mag. Is 1280 and cal. 410
