Scraped this off the back of my 10 gallon nano. Tried to just use ceramic Magnets to allow to adhere naturally but consensus is that this is asking for trouble.
got after it tonight with the reef glue...have to press lightly but hold for 20-30 seconds but it will stick! Also have to make sure glass is clean first! Will slowly remove Magnets over next few days.

Good spot as it receives both light and water flow

If this transfer works. An the stat poly starts to grow. The overflow can be block rather quickly.

Tried to take off a few magnets today...Def need more glue. i am going to get after it during a water change this weekend. In my nano, I started from the bottom and it def took quite a while. My thought in this tank was to just use my scraper and keep teasing it down when it gets close to the overflow. Hopefully it gets the hint and grows south to the available real estate? Am I being too optimistic???

Little update...yellow arrow is mounting position. Red arrow is where the GSP currently sits. Back to the drawing board...

You can always glue it to magnets and then you can move it on the magnet when you need to

I’m trying to do this same thing! It looks so cool, just keep a razor blade on hand to cut it back once it gets to your overflow. I have a large rock of GSP that I just set against the back wall & I’m amazed at how quickly it’s grown. I glued a small piece to the back glass too but the parts that have grown naturally are spreading much faster.
On the other end, some Xenias have started spreading to the back glass. Should be interesting when they meet in the middle!
