Do you know if GSP would peel off of the coralline?
Whatever coralline it might grow over it kills (and eats, for all I know). So when you peel the GSP away, whatever's between it and the glass comes with it.

Unfortunately some did also get onto the base rock, and while I wouldn't say I'm alarmed about, I do keep my eye on it, and one time wacked it back a bit when I didn't like the direction it was headed. It is quite pretty, like a wavy green wall carpet, but in my case it's partially hidden behind lots of other stuff, and I also keep it pruned as described. I have seen pictures of people's tanks whose entire back walls were overtaken with it, and while attractive, that is not for me.
