Green Star polyp, spreading only or will it populate through water column ?

I have three separate tanks tied together in a 1150 gallon system, if I were to put GSP in one of the tanks, can it spread through water column circulation, or does it only grow from its core and spread. I want to add it to My Morish Idol end tank.(the tank on the right.

That's a hot setup, very nice system.

I grew GSP on the backwall of my tank for a few years, never had it spread anywhere it couldn't physically touch. I cant guarantee it doesn't have the ability to, but I don't think it drops like xenia or kenya tree or anything like that.

It can spread if small pieces come off, like when you trim it back.
