Green Star Polyps

My GSP have closed up for a while a few opened up so I moved them a bit lower in the tank and then this morning half of it was brown and jelly like so I took it out and have it in container. Can it be saved? What went wrong?

Not sure if they are susceptible to brown jelly disease but try dipping them in lugols every other day for 15 min and see if that helps. I am having trouble controlling mine grows so quickly.
