Green star polyps

My new green star polyps are okay since I got it, after I upgraded my tank and let them live in 5 gallon bucket but I have 4 I separated everything for a while like a week, and 2 days from now my gsp still not opening, how to know if they are dead?

They are not dead unless you boiled the water or soaked them in bleach.

I've bought six gsps over the last three years and they all die. Everyone says they are the easiest thing but I can't ever get them to live more than a month
