New to the saltwater tanks. I’ve been doing lots of research . Can anyone tell me what this is?

The more I look at it the less I think it's a tunicate. It must be more related to nems. Maybe @vetteguy53081 can identify this?

Years of varmint hunting in the woods and hills of 'sconie have made him highly proficient at critter identification.

bump. Just wondering if you took a portrait shot of it??

I second (third?) that if it’s moving around (not just swaying in the current), it looks like a nudibranch. If that’s the case, it’s hard to say whether you should keep it, nudibranchs are very specialized feeders so it will either starve or continue to eat whatever was on the rock (assuming you don’t have any corals that it could’ve come in on). This might be you’re only chance to get rid of it, you may never see it again. Nudibranchs usually (but not always) kind of look like what they eat, or they’re brightly colored to serve as a warning to predators. If it is moving and that’s what it is, it’s probably best to err on the side of caution and get rid of it.

Interesting... it kind of resembles a yellow nudibranch.
When I googled that it lead me to Yellow Sea cucumber ? Could this be what it is. My tank is fairly new but we went with 13 lbs of live rock for our 13.5 eco. & have had quite a few hitchhikers on the rocks
