On the first day the mushroom got all its "spikes" out but after that all the spikes disappeared and now it shrinks a little like this. This is on day 4. Is just acclimating or dying?

Most likely just acclimating since that Kenya tree seems to be doing well. I have one in each of my tanks and they're such a pain. Awesome coral, but it loves to tease you with its polyps.

It's acclimating . It will do that on and off . They are super moody.
