I'm trying this again for new ideas. I've been over run with an algae, that is green and sometimes more of a rusty color that is very stiff and bristlely. I pulled out about 75 percent of my rock work and removed it manually, but there is a bunch I can't take out (rock that is) without removing almost everything coral wise. The algae is starting to grow back on the rocks I removed it from as well.
Parameters seems on point
No3 - 2ppm
Po4 - .04ppm
Ph - 8.1
Cal 490
Mg 1490
Alk - 10.2dkH
Running GFO and Carbon as well. Contemplated adding an urchin, but have heard mixed reviews on the. Hermits, emeralds, and snails don't seem to touch it. Nor did the sea hare I had at one point.

Thoughts suggestions? Pull rock start fresh with all new rock?

Here is a crappy picture but

It won't hurt and not sure it will help but you could try the Kent Tech-M magnesium supplement. Raise your mag up to 1600-1800 and maintain it there for 2-3wks. This is used to kill the very stubborn Bryopsis Algae. Definitely worth a try before pulling all your rock.

MosMyName, looks pretty close. That stuff looks like it's laying down. The stuff I have looks like it's all pointing up. Not sure that makes it different though. I'll have to read up on that though, and see if I can find something to take care of it. Thanks.
