I just got a green wrasse and have a few questions. Do they need a sand bed? will it eat pellets right away?

Yes need sand to sleep in mine don't eat pellets but loves mysis they should also eat bristle worms, flatworms if you don't have a sand bed a bucket of sand in the tank works also

As a small fish, the green wrasse is a model citizen that does an excellent job of eating coral pests. However, as they get older and larger they lose their vibrant green color and get more aggressive toward tankmates. They also will flip over small corals in search for food and kill any cuc that may be in the tank.

+1

Mines a little jerk and will not abide another wrasse in my tank. Like above, great color when small but get pale after they hit a year or so old.
