Green wrasse help please?

We have a green wrasse. He was at the LFS for 2 years in the coral tank where fish are not for sale. They where able to get him out and I got there first. Been in my DT for almost 2 months now. At first he was out a lot but more and more he gets up before the lights are on. Makes to the first feeding (12pm) flakes and sea weed. But know goes back in the sand by 2 and not out for frozen food roughly (6pm) is this normal or is there something to be watching for?

Other than his clock being off from yours any irregular behavior?

Sounds like his internal time clock is off. May take some time to adjust.

You could try to feed frozen just before he beds down for the “night”. The feeding might get him moving around more and staying out of the sand. Then slowly start moving your feeding time later and later as he stays out longer.
