Im thinking about getting a green banded goby or two and have a few questions.
#1 what would a good size be so that it wouldn’t get eaten by a medium sized royal gramma and clownfish?
#2 would it be better to get it singally or in a pair?
#3 would it get along with a tailspot blenny?
And #4 does anyone know a good online retailer for them?
Thanks

If you find an answer to #4, I'd love to know!

#1 I've ordered from Live Aquaria and they've come in roughly 1/2" to 3/4". The ones at the LFS aren't much bigger.

#2 I've purchased 5-7 at a time through LiveAquaria for my 45 gallon. The second group I had, I ended up with the smallest in the over flow, where it lived several months until it gained enough size to stand up to the other green bandeds. The ones I've had either paired up or had a harem going. One female got absolutely enormous and took over a front corner of my tank, no other gobies were allowed in that area! I also stuck 3/4" cpvc in different areas to encourage them to stick where I could see them. It worked with one group, and not so much for the other group. Get at least a trio, if you like small active fish, they are a lot of fun to watch.

#3 probably won't bother each other.

#4 Can't answer this one.

They seem to be seasonal, so once LA has them, my LFS and other online dealers seem to all have them too.

So 2 wouldn’t work? How about 1?
