Greenhouses, anyone own one?

I have a Basement Areaway, aka Basement Steps to the outside. We’ve been contemplating putting a Lean-to Type Greenhouse over the steps. The Landings and Steps are a PITA to keep clean, we would have a place for Plants and I could grow Pods most of the year. Just wondering if anyone has a Greenhouse, what is your experience and recommendations. BTW, this is going to be a fairly permanent structure, not something with a plastic film thrown over a frame. Yes, it will have to be Permitted by the county, since it’s against the house.

There are some pretty cool diy greenhouses with geodesic connector plates. I have experience with greenhouses. I think it would depend on your moisture level and ventilation against the house. You can get mold issues.

Have one and find that the only way to keep the "glass" clean is a once a year pressure wash.

I have a Gasoline Pressure washer, don’t know how I’d be able to do without one. Even have an underbody Sprayer to keep after the road salt. Also a Foam Gun and a Jet Rodder to keep the Down Spout French Drains Clear.
