Greenway Tote

It's NSF certified and 1/3 the body of the Brute. Would here be any issues using this for water mixing?

I honestly mix saltwater in a plastic tub I got from target for like $8 it’s a 18 gallon tub. I know long term it could be bad but I usually only have a batch in at a weeks time. I’m sure someone might have an issue with my method but it’s been months now and have yet to have a bad side effect.

I use a cheap, 16.5 gallon storage tub from Target but I checked the material and recycle code and decided it was reef safe.

The one linked just said "plastic", which is pretty vague (unless I just missed something).

I "believe" the following materials are FDA food safe (used to bottle water):
Recycling code #1 — Polyethylene terephthalate (PET)
Recycling code #2 — High density polyethylene (HDPE)
Recycling code #5 — Polypropylene (PP)
*ideally, actually labeled FDA “food safe”

The one in the store has a sticker on it that it's certified to NSF Standard 2. I don't see the point in spending the extra for the Brute garbage can if everything will mix just as well...
