Hello all,

My name is Michael and I live in Key largo, FL. I have a 30 Gallon tank with a Quietflow HOB Filter, A Current USA Orbit Marine LED, and a standard tank warmer. I had a protein skimmer but to streamline the look of my tank I removed it and went with a larger HOB Filter. I have had a saltwater tank for about 5 years with a few damselfish and a cleanup crew consisting of a few starfish, snails, and crabs. I just recently kicked out all of my fish as they were tearing each other apart. I do not think I will ever get a damselfish again. But now that I have a mature tank I decided to make it a reef tank.

When measuring the parameters of my tank I use a spreadsheet which I will attach below. It records the date, time, temperature, Salinity, ph, alkalinity, calcium, and Magnesium. This sheet is very useful, feel free to download or copy it.

My new inhabitants include 2 Oscellaris Clownfish, a Royal Gamma, and a Pajama Cardinal. After they were all settled in I did a ton of research before going to my LFS to purchase my first frags and anemones. I purchased one live rock that was hosting 2 Rose Bubble Tip anemones and a feather duster, one Zoanthid frag, and one other frag of coral I will post a pic in a later post maybe somebody can ID.The anemones have since moved around the tank to comfort zones, but my hopes that the clownfish would find it a good home remains to be unseen.

Thanks for reading, please feel free to contact me questions about anything, or if you have any advice for me! Check out my Tank (I will post more of my corals and anemones in a later post)
