Flameback Pair
started reefing 1999
Hi, my name is Mitch and I've had reef tanks since 1999 and I had FW tanks in the late 70's when I was in grade school. This is the most rewarding hobby and it keeps me off the streets and out of the bars, j/k. I've spent a lot of time on some big reef sites but I'm looking for something in kin to a "small town atmosphere". I hope to spend a lot of time here and hope to learn a lot as well as contribute. I plan to start a build/progress thread right away. So now a little about my current tank and a FTS.
Equipment
It's a 50 gallon Glasscages acrylic with a 24" x 24" x 14" eurobraced open sump. I have 2 AI Sol led fixtures, a vortech MP10, recirculating reef octopus skimmer, Tunze controllable Silence pump for a return, Reef Keeper Elite controller, plus some miscellaneous and minor equipment.
Livestock
Five fish: fireball angel, flame hawkfish, sixline wrasse, royal gramma, ocellaris clown. Corals: zoanthids, mushroom corals, green star polyps, and stylophora SPS. I am still new to corals but am excited about learning and getting a lot of them.
