Hello all. I have been a lurker on various reefing forums for years and finally decided to put down some roots here.
I grew up with a fascination of all things aquatic, resulting in my early years dedicated to the freshwater hobby. In the last 3 years I have gotten into reefkeeping, and currently have a 92 corner that phased from fowlr into some lps and nems.
For a living I own and operate an aquarium maintenance business which allows me to "have" a huge variety of tanks, all with their own quirks and personalities. Fresh and salt, tropical and temperate, big and small.
This keeps me immersed in the hobby even when I myself have a dryspell and get a bit lackluster on my own projects. Always having something to troubleshoot, something to be amazed by.
The only downside to all this is where I am based. A city in northern Alberta of just under 60,000. Basically boiling down to absolutely nothing available for supplies or livestock locally on the sw side of things. Up too and including simple things like salt and reactor medias.
My hope is to one day try my hand at opening a shop in my town to expand this beautiful hobby.
I hope for many years of valued discussion with all those who frequent these pages.
