Hello,
I am MumZFishZ87 I have been in the saltwater hobby since 2006. I started with a very small 10 gallon tank in my apartment when I was a sophomore in college. Once my mom learned I was interested in the hobby, she agreed to let me expand and bought me a 29 gallon. I was not the best at water changes and lost a LOT of money in fish first starting out. I haven't had any fish in over 2 years because my orc clown, survivor, died right before my wedding in 2017. I was very sad when he died! He got his name because he survived only have like 10 gallons of water in my tank and not having any food for like 3+ months (I thought he died a long time ago, he was just hiding). I was going to rearrange the rocks and get new fish when I felt biting on my hand... when the dust settled from the movement in the tank, there was my clown fish, that is how he got his name!
I wanted to get my tank back up and running for my birthday this year that just passed on the 14th. My mom agreed, and is actually buying me a 90 gallon so I can do reef this time! I've been doing lots of studying on what I want in there. I still have tons of questions.
Yes, I am 32 years of age, I live in Michigan, I am a stay at home mom myself and my own mother still spoils me. That's simply because I am an only child and she will always spoil me!
Looking forward to meeting you and learning all I can about the reefing hobby!
