I'm not sure what those sports are, does anyone know?

Not exactly sure what spots you are talking about. But there will be lots of changes in the first year of a new tank. The new rock is clean and will be taken over initially by things you don't like - green algae/ brown slimy stuff. Eventually if you introduce snails / frags with coralline, it will slowly begin to claim some real estate and outcompetes the "uglies"
Can you take better photos of grey spots you are referring to?

Are you talking about the spot circled in red or teal?
The red one just looks like the bare rock poking out from under the algae and stuff
no clue what the teal one is tho...

It looks to me a little bit of sand, and spots without algae. Try blowing some of the sand with a turkey baster, and really those spots won't go away until algae covers it. It's nothing to worry about.

May be sponge or small mushrooms but will need clearer pics for accurate assessment. Pics are fuzzy

The teal one looks like an opening in the rock where you can see the back glass.
