Grey stuff on dry rock

What is grey stuff thats been covering all of my dry rock?

Can you blow the stuff off with a turkey baster or a powerhead? What I think it looks like is maybe dust from the sand that settled. I could be wrong

Yes I can, but I added sand quite a while ago

Looks like a fairly new aquarium, I agree that it maybe fine sand sediments that float around and settle

Was the tank cloudy just prior to this?

If it were me I would just blow it off the rocks and let it settle in the sand. Then do a water change and siphon the sand to remove any fine dust. I dont believe it's anything you need to worry about though.
