Grounding probe

Probably a dumb question but is it ok for a grounding d probe to be plugged into a power strip that is plugged into my apex power bar and is powered on. The apex is then plugged into a gfci outlet.

Haha sorry. Basically I have the power bar from apex plugged into a gfci, then on the power bar I have a power strip plugged in to run things that are constant on and figured I’d plug the ground probe into the strip. If that helps

Can you yes, but it should be plugged into the gfci for the best margin of safety.

So it doesn’t matter if the power to the probe is on or off since the hot and nuetral prongs are plastic correct?

It shouldn't. but just leave it off just in case?
