Grounding probes

Just bought a ground probe on amazon:


I noticed it has this extra cable on it. Is there something specific i need to do with it? Or can I just plug it in, and put the probe into the sump?

Also, the ring can be used on a cover screw if you don't want to use up an outlet with the plug. Just be sure the utility box is properly grounded for this to work. A multimeter with continuity can test between the screw and one of the outlet's ground ports.

just a opinion,i use one in tanks and 1 in sumps,double protection happy reefing
