Does anyone have experience keeping a group, 3-5 individuals, of small gobies?

I'm currently looking into the following:
Clown Goby - All varieties
Red Head Goby - Elacatinus sp.
Green Banded Goby
Starry Goby
Hi Fin Red Banded Goby

I would say it depends on how large your tank is. for clown gobies in particular, they're found in groups of about 5-7 in the wild and since they aren't particularly aggressive, I think it might work. Definitely need at least 40-50 gallons though. That would be my guess. Good luck!

Have a trio of fire fish gobies and one purple one

The first three on your list should be fine as they are found in groups in the wild. With these three as well they have the ability to change sex in both directions so groupings are easier to maintain.
I've not kept a starry goby but hi bandeds seemed to get on well in pairs, so it could be possible to add more as they are really peaceful little fish that don't need a lot of space.

In my 40 reef, I have a colony of four masked gobies, a couple of neon gobies and peppermint gobies. All get along. The only rough interaction is between the neons who are always squabbling
