I got my hands on some feather Calurpa for my fuge, and have noticed over the last couple of weeks, that it will grow and then some of its leaves will just melt away.
My initial thought was that these types of plants would grow off of the excess P04 and N03 in the water however, I'm wondering if I need to be adding something else like Iron or some other type of fertilizer?

Sometimes you do need to feed them. Sometimes they grow like crazy.

I am having the same issue. I have been trying to grow chaeto for months, i scrub the GHA all off of my rocks, NO3 & PO4 are both high and I have been dosing ChaetGro and the chaeto still just melts away. I wonder if there are other parameters that effect the growth?

How high are they?

stuck between these are the two products. Has anyone used these to grow macro algae?
In looking at these two bottles, it appears That both of them have different ingredients.
Does anyone know what the difference is qnd which one ia better for growing macro algae in a n03 rich environment?
