Ok, i have some better pictures. Thanks for all the help so far. The rock these are on is very thin, there is nowhere for a hidden body, you can see in these pictures that some of them have a stem. I have found 6 of these in the tank and they seem to be popping up in clusters.
Holy moly! You're right, the base/stem is totally different from a sea cucumber (to me, I'm not an expert).

Are... are you interested in selling some if they get out of control? Because I am absolutely fascinated if they are anemones, lol.

Just FYI though, I think the third picture is a different kind of anemone, called a majano. Those are definitely known to be invasive.

I’m probably wrong, but might they be baby hellfire anemones? Do they all exhibit that 6-part radial symmetry or do some look slightly different than others? They’re beautiful, whatever they may be
That was my first thought too! Would be a very cool hitchhiker, even if potentially dangerous.

I’d be happy to sell them if they get out of control, problem is I’m in Australia

Yeah, the third picture was just to show how thin the rock is as a way to show that I think you’d be able to see the body if they were sea cucumbers
