This thing is so cool. I'm so glad I got it. So much to learn as it grows. :-D thanks again @GHsaltie
:-D:-D

Ii also can't wait to see different species and multiple worms interract. ;-) @Naiad

This is 1 of those threads that got my mind running, doesn't help having extra tanks setting around neither :).

Hobbit has used anything he can find to add to his cerith shell. Seems to use a glue like mucus to hold debris together. He uses his mandibles to spread the glue. I can't believe he is staying right where I can see him. :-) hope he makes the move ok:-)

I did not think something with mandibles would be an omnivore. But hobbit appears to be grazing. Takes a few bites, chews and comes back for more. Interresting!

That's awesome. Good to see he is doing well. He was really chowing down!

, sorry, I was camping last week and then I've had a lot going on lately with purchasing my new home. He is still in his shell and still doing well. I clean the fuge out yesterday. I'll try and get some new vids tonight

Here we go, i put some pink & golds near his hole to see if he would bother them. After reviewing the entire vid I'm pretty sure he is still eating the grape tree. And apparently he now has an even larger pile of glued items and a back door :)

I thought so too. But the polyp doesn't react. And in other parts of the vid you see the red stem shaking. But ill keep watch. :-D

The full video is about 25 minutes long. He kept returning to that same spot at first taking bites backing up to chew then going back. In these two vids Which are in succession you can see that he is biting the algae by watching the red stem upper left of his head. In the 2nd vid he actually looks at the polyp and then backs off and bites the grape again lifting his whole home while pulling on it

So looks to me like he is mainly herbivore. But I do have that one vid of him eating an amphipod, so not entirely. :-) And he seems to have a liking for a red grape tree. LOL
