My acan has been receding from its skeleton for the past month or so and at first I didn’t know what it could be because all my levels were good. I noticed a whit growth that I first thought was excess super glue but I have noticed that it had been growing and has a hole in it there are also smaller holes along the whole thing

How do I get rid of it because it is killing the coral? Do I just cut it off or do I need to do more?
Peroxide 50% with 50% tank water. You need tooth brush and a pick of some form. Tooth pick, dental pick, wood skewer.

Take the pick and remove as much sponge you can. After that, dip tooth brush in the peroxide mix. Try not to apply to coral. Scrub enough to see some fizzing action. Rinse with tank water.

Also, there seems to be algae growing all around the coral. Hows the rest of the inhabitants?

Everything else seems to be happy and even this one looks totally fine during the day but when it closes for night that’s when it looks bad I just turned on the white light for pictures

I'd get rid of the sponge on the other. See if it improves.

That isn’t the other side the one on the bottom is where the sponge is you just can’t see it when it’s day and the coral is open
