Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone has seen anything like this before and able to tell me what it is? It has just appeared on our hermit crab - nothing new introduced to the tank. Any thoughts appreciated. Other tank inhabitants include:
Nassarius snail x2
Trochus snail x2
Strombus snail x2
Hermit crabs x3

Clownfish x2
Firefish x1
Blue cleaner wrasse x1
Damselfish x1
Zebra-striped goby x1
Blue-Green chromis x2

Elegance Coral x1

Looks like a limpet to me
Thanks - I'll do some research. The tank is about 6 months old and nothing new has been added for a couple of months. We have certainly never added limpets to the aquarium, so if that's what it is it must have come in on somehting at some point.

Limpet for sure. Think of him as a tiny member of your clean up crew

From what I know they are good anyway, I’ve heard something about a caution with sps but not 100% sure on that
If you had live rock they could’ve came in on that
