Growth on Pink Paly - pic

Hi, I am new and found this site researching what the heck is on my zoo.

It is about 1/8" in diameter and is the same color as the outside of the animal.

Any ideas?

I got this frag on Sunday. I did not notice the growth at the LFS. I did a Lugol's dip and put it in the tank. Yesterday I noticed the growth on one polyp in that place. Today it is the same size, shap and in the same place.

So no it does not move. Thanks.

it could be part of the zoa, maybe some type of wart or defect/morph? I have never seen anything like it. Try using RC.....Reef Central, they might have an idea of what that is.

Is it attached to the zoa???

I think so since it closes up with the zoo at night. It does not move at all and does not appear to be affecting the polyp or the colony.

Maybe a previously undocumentated case of zoa hemroids.
