Growth on rocks ?

Hi ,
I have a strange moss/bush like growth on the majority of my rocks , live and not live. I am not sure if it is a good or bad sign ?

Totally normal. You'll get all kinds of weird things on your rock while it matures

Those rocks have been in there over ten years and have not grown anything on them in a long time
