I noticed this growing on one of my turbos the last month or so. I originally thought it was bryopsis but the growth pattern seems different. Any thoughts?

I'm not sure, but I'd guess it's either a red or brown macroalgae - possibly something like Symphyocladiella sp. (red), or Cystoseira sp. (brown).

Barring that, I suppose it could be branching coralline algae, a species of (branching) colonial hydroids (some of these are basically considered corals), or a gorgonian of some kind (though I doubt it's hydroids or a gorgonian, as it doesn't seem to have any polyps/lophophores to feed with).

I looked up images of the algae you mentioned and it looks like it could be either one. I find it interesting that nothing new has been added to the tank in nearly a year and now this thing decides to pop its head up.
That’s pretty cool.
