Growth on snail

Who can tell me what is this green growth on my snail? Should I remove it from the tank?

It is only on the one snail. Will it get all through my tank?

Did you just get the snail? I would think you can take it out and remove it from the shell

No. I've had it for about a month. People are saying it is algae but if that is true, why is it only on one snail and nowhere else?

That one may have already had a tiny halimeda macroalgae growing but you never noticed it until it got bigger. I would just let it keep the camo look.
