Growth or bleaching?

Hey, I'm kinda new to all this stuff so sorry if this is a stupid question.
But I noticed the edges around my monti are turning a lighter color. And I'm not sure if it is normal growth or bleaching?

Most plating montis will have a lighter colored growth edge. If the whole coral starts turning white, that's when you have a problem.

I think time will tell on this one. I can't tell either way from the picture. How long have you had it? It doesn't look like bleaching to me

Yup, the coral has grown quite a bit since I asked.

Glad to hear!
In retrospect, I may have chucked some corals which because they ‘appeared’ dead or dying to my untrained eye were just trying to grow.
Now I wait.The coral HAS to start looking like the rock around it before I give up on it.
The good news is that it doesn’t happen as often
