Growth overnight

I am fairly new to this reef tank stuff. I put a rock in with about 4 small mushrooms on it about two weeks ago. I also have a Zoa in the tank. Pretty much overnight I have about 4 mushrooms that appears throughout the tank and even the Zoa had popped up on a different part of the tank. Interesting to me, I can't just pull them out of I don't want them correct?

Yes zoas and mushrooms both can dettactch from their substrate if they desire. you though cannot pull them off most likely without damaging them. to remove you need a razor blade.
