I have about a quarter size Chalice, I was wondering how long it takes to show some growth? I have had it for a little over a week, the skin seems to be more flesh looking since when I got it. Also, there isn't that much of a gap between it and the rock it is on. Just curious to how long it may take to double in size?

Thanks in advance!

Oh wow.. I guess its mostly the skeleton production is what takes so long. Thanks for the reply!

One other thing, why are they so "in demand" if they take so long to grow? By in demand I mean by consumers.

My guess is they are in demand because they are beautiful and they are expensive because they are relatively slow growers.

It really depends on the tank, I think. I have a dime size Pink ******* that is literally showing daily growth. And the Emerald Mummy Eye next to it shows none but I got them both at the same time.

In demand corals come and go. Sometimes its Zoanthids/Palys, sometimes Acans, currently it is Chalices. Give it time. My Miami will eventually be $100 an eye.
