Thanks for the shots, aside from being lovely and interesting, they also serve to give n00bs like me a sense of growth rates.
I have asked many times, on other sites, how fast is "fast growth" and only got the only real truthful answer ever given in this hobby: "it depends".

Very helpful for placement planning, thanks for sharing.

welp im actually really lucky that any SPS survived as around xmas i was noticing wierd stuff going on with my coral and when i tested my Alk was down to 5.. as i was only dosing calc... after a year im still making lil noob mistakes.

So i switch 2 a seachem Reef fusion 2 part... and everything seems to love it. I go through it rather quickly as im dosing about 25ml of each daily.

those are BTA's. I had a debate on RC a while ago about what they were, almost got banned for it. The are a colonizing Bubble tip, they stay small but all stay in the same area. they are a bit of a nuisnance as they split a lot. if you disagree lol i'd like to save it for another thread.

these things stay small, never really get bigger than a golfball, my RBTA is big though well getting there.

Nothing can be certain from a single photo, but looks to me like you got a Cribrinopsis Crassa. Not very common in the US, but very common in Europe.

Purple Monster?

it's a slower grower than the Oregon Tort?

In my tank the monster started very slowly, but then somehow it hit a curve and the growth exploded. Not sure how to explain it, but that's what happened. The tort on the other hand is a SLOOOOW but steady grower for me. 'spose it's different in every tank though :neutral:
