Just was looking at some growth pictures I had been taking, wondering if this is around average growth rate! Let me know and feel free to post your own pictures of coral growth!

looks great to me! Our birdsnest really took off and started branching after about a month! Awesome coral!

Here's a time lapse photo of ours. The first pic is taken from farther back, but you can see what a small frag it was to begin with.

Here's what it looked like as of 2.21.2013

Fun stuff! It's about mid way from the top. We recently purchased another birdsnest of similar size to the frag of the first. It's much closer to the lights and is growing much faster!

Very nice Graham, what size tank & what lighting if you don't mind me asking?

LED lighting. It's a Chinese LED, 2 150 Watt fixtures. Thinking of getting another, but right now the two are doing an okay job. The tank is a 135 gallon with a 4inch deep sand bed. Aqueon Proflex model 4 sump with refugium and Reef Octopus NWB150 skimmer (LOVE!!!)

Great growth pics!! I love looking at old pics of my tank and comparing them to the current growth. Sometimes I don't realize how much stuff has grown.

Here is a Miami Hurricane chalice that I got in November:

Did you find it strange that 10 eyes grew on one side of the frag while only two new ones popped up on the opposite side? For some reason thats really interesting to me, do you know of any reason why?

Good point...Someone told me the flow in the tank affects the growth of the corals on how they branch out to grow. Hmmmm...interesting.

That to me looks like some pretty impressive growth :)
Are you dosing anything? I just killed a nice mini pochhi colony and I'm pretty upset now :(

I switched which was directed to that area with a MP10 and obviously it didnt like it...

Hmm, I never looked at the coral that way. I think the flow does have a lot to do with it, but I'm not sure.

No Im not dosing anything, my calcium is super high for some unknown reason, All I do is a monthly water change. And only filtration is a hang on back protien skimmer.

SeahorseKeeper: That is really weird how one side grew so many more eyes than the other.
