One of my corals has a white tip from where it has started to grow but no polyp is sticking out of the end of it. Is this okay or should i be worried

Yes, it appears that you have a overachieving polyp and a few underachieving polyps, I would suggest giving the slackers a pep talk!

JK, corals will grow at their own rate and build the colony as they see fit...It really is a simple as growth/good color = happy.
