Could be alkalinity burns.

It looks like it is rough shape. Dipping it might kill it, but could be worth it if you see any pests drop off (if it isn't alk related).

May also be getting nipped - what fish do you have in with it?

Yeah Marcus it's stressed from the worms man I know you had them recently and did the best job you could removing them but looks as if they returned... dang bro you really need to set up another tank and start dipping and moving all your acros.... Sucks but there causing a lot of harm and I know how much money you have invested in the 700 gallons of water...... Arrrrrr you can clearly see the bite marks thou in the second picture... How often are you using the turkey baster?

If its AEFW interceptor won't touch them unfortunately isolating them and dipping them weekly is the only way to be rid of them from what I've seen.

What is on the base of the coral in the very first picture? I agree with the AEFW bite marks...but it almost looks like a zoa-spider, maybe its just a crab? But could be what was laying the "growths" you were noticing!

These were the acro valida that were infected with aefw tons of pin holes before havent dipped in 2 months looks like a lite case still. Probally should have thrown away back then. Did a quick dip in revive then shook in fresh tank water nothing falling off. Then did a 10 min dip in the revieve.

zoa-spider, maybe its just a crab? I thought i might be gall crab in the coral but unsure and have never seen what spiders do.

Could be alkalinity burns. I have been having rtn on a few established colonys I have had for over a year. I have been adding a ton of bulk reef alk raiser, but I check every day seems to drop a point a day.

I will have to check

Careful with Alk additions. I was using mine with a 24hr dosing pump when I was raising my dKH to try to limit the swings, but would still get alk swings when my pump would run out of supply. I ended up with burnt tips on a couple of my acros, and lost a couple chalice frags at the same time.

Also, how's your mag level? When I was trying to raise my alk, and it wasn't raising as expected, I checked my Mag, and it was down close to 1000. Which could have also been my chalice killer...

Dang zoa spiders to????? Man you need to start all over.... a 10ft 400 gal tank full of pests is just a time bomb Marcus..... You have plenty of tanks I would drain that big one and start fresh with all new Marco rock and dip everything weekly for 8 weeks by that time the big tank will have a nice cycle an you can start fresh with clean corals..... Arrrr sucks man but the best thing to do honestly your throwing your money away if you don't.....

Set up seperate 70 frag tank plumbed to 60 gallon sump with slow flow into system. I have tried to set up a totally seperate system packed with monti colonies and frags when I had the monti nudibranch last year I killed 50% of my corals this way, as the alk, calcium , salinity, and temp were not stable.

Way I got rid on monti eaters was moving all montis to frag tank and checking every night for them buggers now montis are thriving once again.
This time I am not going to lose a 100 or more Acro colonies and frags. So with the slow flow to refugieum and then to main sump. 95% of my corals have never been infected. AEFW seem to only have minimumly hit bali tricolor, valida, and a few millis over 8 months

When I move at the end of the year I will either get a TL giant frag tank and put everything in there making sure parimeters are good, Or get a monster tank. Scraping all acros off and chipping encrusting stuff, Leave set up for 2months with no corals and then move corals over from frag tank. I dont know about the new rock method. I also like the ReefBum Melive method of using baster as I do not see any damage caused from AEFW after 8 month I have only basteda few times
