Grrrr. I'm Less Than Pleased...

So, the other day my husband ordered my skimmer for me off Amazon... Today it arrives & it was shipped in the box it comes in. Why would you just send an expensive piece of equipment as it is? Would it have killed them to have packed it with some styrofoam peanuts or bubble wrap in a box? Geesh.

Luckily the box isn't beaten to crap, but it sure looks like an old one. Time to go off & make sure everything is in one piece.

Yeah I've noticed lately amazons shipping practices have changed. They used to box everything even if it was in a box 10x the size needed. I'm guessing it came from someone who sells for amazon. Good luck with the new skimmer!

If it comes from an Amazon warehouse it is boxed/shipped in another box along with the manufacturers packaging. If its from a seller on amazon (think ebay) then its however the seller ships it. I have a prime account so everything I get ships from an Amazon warehouse (and free 2 day shipping too)

I think it was from a seller on Amazon, not from Amazon itself. We order from Amazon all of the time & it's always packed well.

If I were you I'd look into the air stone mod for that skimmer. I have one and I did the air stone mod and it work a heck of a lot better!

i have that one running on my 40b and its kicking butt with a maxi jet 12 on it! you just gotta get the water lvl in the tank and the air adjust just right

Do you know how much coral would have been destroyed delivering the oil to make the styrofoam peanuts or bubble wrap? Me either. But, it does make me wonder if a mantis could be trained to pop the bubbles.

Consistent water level is crucial for skimmer performance. This will be the only thing that enables a consistent air setting to be "dialed in".
