Hey Everybody,

So Im just looking for a general consensus about these two saws from the R2R community..Between the Gryphon C-40 or the Inland DB 100

I've read reviews on both and I'm considering the Gryphon, but If anyone here who has first hand experience with either saw could lend their opinion that would be great!

Thanks in Advance,
Matt S.

I used the Inland for just under a year before it died. I really liked it but wanted to try the Gryphon. I have been using it for about 2 weeks now and like it a lot as well. The nicer thing about the Inland was the adjustable speed and it was a little taller so you can cut bigger corals with it. What I didnt like about the inland was the water reservoir would run out very quickly. What I like about the Gryphon is the bigger cutting table and the water reservoir being underneath it. Just dont forget to clean it out after each use or it stinks pretty bad. The speed on the Gryphon has been good so far but would be nice to be able to speed up if needed.

I have the Gryphon and love it. The only down side I have found is after I finish cutting my coral and storing the saw for a while I leave the blade off, otherwise the pressure of it will deteriorate the urethane band on the top pulley. I went through a couple before I started leaving it off. I love the construction of the saw, to me worth the money.
