GSP and Button Polyps

So my GSP patch is quickly approaching a nice bed of button polyps.

Will they play well together or should I cut the GSP back?

Are the button polyps palythoas? I had GSP next to some brown palys, they had a truce, but the mushrooms in the other side shaded the GSP so I moved the GSP.
