Gsp closed up for 2 weeks now. What to do?

Hey All.

I have some gsp that I got a month ago from LFS.

I got 3 medium sized rocks of them.
2 of them had closed up about 2 weeks ago.
My water readings as as follows:
Ph 8.2
Nh3 0.2
No2 0.05
No3 0.05
Po4 0.03
Alk 10.0
Saltinity 1025
Temp 24.5

Iv posted photos of tha one that is open and the 2 that closed up.

What should I do?
Iv recently had loads of detritus or diatoms on them.
Give them a 2 min dip in hydrogen peroxide, as they were covered in brown film. Brushing ot off didint seem to help at all.

I have canister filter on the tank, its 14 gallon tank. Reef glass skimmer that it's just breaking in as I got it 2 days ago. Didint have a skimmer before, just maintenance and water changes.
Any help would be appreciated. The water flows is good. Dont know if the light is strong enough. The depth of the tank is 30 cm, if got fluval nano reef light. Come on fro 6 hour max a day.

On some gsp you can see a tiny nudibranches . Dont know if that would cause them to close up.

Its for sure not lighting, gsp can grow in a toilet bowl. You have really low nitrates, they prefer 5-10 ppm. The nudi is of concern. If theres one, then theres more.

As far as GSP goes, as long as the mat is still in tact then they are alive and I wouldnt worry too much.

With your nutrient numbers being dangerously low, and the description of "brown film", leads me to believe you may have dino's which will cause them to close up.


Full tank shot would help identify it though.

Just check my nitrates again.
I most of miss type them, they are 5.0 at least.
What level of nutrients should I have then?

How can i boos them ?

Just posted some photos, would you think that brown slimy layer building up on glass and sand bed , you want see it good on sand bed as I just did my maintenance 2 days ago, it take a while to build up, plus the wave maker is blowing it away , it comes off with a magnet cleaner or even finger.
Would you think that's dino.

A week ago I had phosphates going thru the roof, off the scale on tests.

Moderate light, medium water flow (water flow key fro them)and a little iron and stronium in the water.
Give them gentle bursts with a turkey baster which should perk them yp. Assure they are in path of water movement

Two weeks closed is nothing for gsp. I had some stay closed for over a month. Don't worry. It'll come out when it's ready. Just make sure your water parameters are somewhat decent and if they aren't, gradually adjust them over the course of a week.

Its likely new tank stuff. The brown stuff you are talking about is diatoms, Your rock is super new as is your sand. Just let nature take its course and keep an eye on your parameters.

NO NO NO. No foods no aminos of any kind. Thats adding gasoline to the fire.

Feeding fish is fine, just no coral foods or vitamins.

Ok, so no add stuff, feeding fish as usual. Keep up with the maintenance, good water flow. Blow whatever builds up with a turkey blaster and give it time. It is a fairly new tank so I guess needs to go thru distom cycle?
